                   Collect.    Study.    Preserve.

75th Anniversary - 1945-2020

This is the official website of The North Jersey Mineralogical Society. We are a diverse group of individuals and families who love ROCKS!! We field collect, talk rocks, and have a ton of fun while thoroughly enjoying our hobby! We learn and share our knowledge with others interested in what we do. Please feel free to browse through our web pages and learn all about NoJMS and what we do.

Our motto, "Collect. Study. Preserve." is what we are all about. We take trips all over to collect mineral & fossil specimens and learn about local geology. We study our finds and learn about their mineralogy, as well as minerals and fossils from all over the world. We preserve rock and mineral specimens by adding them to personal collections, public displays, and museum collections.

Visitors are always welcome at our club meetings, so if you share an interest in the earth sciences, geology, or just like cool looking rocks and fossils, please join us at our next meeting and see what we're all about.

Our club meetings are held at The Paterson Museum, in the Great Falls Historic District of Paterson, NJ.

Use the navigation bar at the top of each page, to access different areas of our website, and see what we do!! Click on "More" to see additional pages.

We are an ACTIVE and GROWING club! If you like what you see and are interested in joining, please fill out the printable application on our Membership Page.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website!

Please visit our Upcoming Shows and Events page for an up-to-date listing of all Gem & Mineral Shows in our area.
